About the company

What MaCO is about

Manchester Congolese Organization (MaCO) is a community led  group which has been set up to provide free information, advice and support to Congolese asylum seekers and refugees that have been placed in Manchester. Our aims are to relieve poverty sickness and alleviate the distress of refugees and asylum seekers from Congo living in Manchester by provision of free and confidential advice, assistance, representation, advocacy, translating and interpreting services in matters relating to welfare, health, social education (culture), academic development, employment, finance management and orientation to life in the UK. The aims are also to advance the education of local people and training of asylum seekers and refugees and their dependents in order to assist their inclusion into wider community, including the promotion of Congolese culture.

Engaging Congolese and BAME people in Manchester to reconnect and rebuild their lives so they can develop, achieve their full potential and contribute to the local community.
